About Us
Our Field Application Engineer will act as a technical interface between customer and our business department, utilizing your expertise in the field of semiconductors to meet customer needs and drive business success.
To support our rapid design-in activities, we are seeking a hands-on, highly technical Field Application Engineer (FAE) with strong system knowledge of USB-PD and wireless charger in automotive applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert front-line technical support to Tier-1 customers and distribution FAEs. Drive the technical aspects of the sales cycle from concept to mass production.
- Establish strong, trust-based relationships with clients' R&D teams. Maintain alignment on project timelines and emerging requirements by collaborating with sales to retain key client personnel.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex technical issues encountered by clients. Coordinate internal engineering resources to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
- Gather and analyze deep client needs to co-develop regional market strategies with sales. Provide valuable field insights and market intelligence to internal teams for next-generation chip definition and R&D.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in electronics or microelectronics
- 3+ years experience in the semiconductor industry applicable in relation to power applications, specifically Wireless Chargers, or USB Power Delivery (USB PD) in automotives.
- Experience with design analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging of related circuits or sub-systems in Automotive or Industrial applications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with, guide, and influence both internal and external R&D teams.
- Highly committed to a customer-centric approach, willing to make short-term compromises for customer value; result-oriented, eager to share experiences, and embracing a culture of transparent communication.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region to visit distributors and customers.
